Since studies have proven that personal recommendations are more effective and reliable than mass marketing, I have initiated a cash referral program that enables me to thank my clients, personally for their support and referrals.

So when you do come across someone who has a Real Estate need, I would ask that you mention my name, give them my card or alternatively call me with the general outline of their real estate needs and I will call on them directly.

After making the initial contact I will then follow up with a written confirmation to you that I have met and will be working with that particular client. In addition, I will confirm that you will be receiving a check for $500.00.

Referral checks are usually received within 8-10 days from the closing date of their real estate transaction. Please note that the referral fee is payable on a per client/person basis and not on a per transaction basis.

Disclosure to your contact that you will be receiving a referral fee for bringing us together will be entirely up to your discretion.

Since 1995 and the advent of ‘Buyers & Sellers Agency’, referral fees have become an acceptable and legitimate business expense for the real estate industry. Therefore since I will be declaring the $250.00 payment to you as a deductible business expense, I would ask that you keep in mind that this fee is a reportable ‘other income’ to you.
